Auto Electrician

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Electrician to join our growing Service Centre in Burslem.
At Lowe & Rhodes Leisure, we’ve been helping customers enjoy the freedom of motorhome travel for over 50 years. As one of the UK’s leading motorhome dealerships, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of premium motorhomes, diagnosing electrical faults, carrying out repairs and installing the latest accessories and technology.
The Role
As an Auto Electrician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems across a variety of motorhomes. You’ll also install customer upgrades and accessories, ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop operating perfectly and ready for its next adventure.
Working alongside our experienced workshop team, you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional quality and reliability for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on motorhomes.
- Install accessories including:
- Solar panel systems
- Lithium battery systems
- Inverters and charging systems
- Reversing cameras
- Satellite and Wi-Fi systems
- Alarm and tracker systems
- Lighting upgrades
- Tow bar electrics
- Test and repair 12V and 230V electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out warranty repairs and electrical upgrades.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections relating to electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate job records and workshop documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Auto Electrician or Automotive Electrical Technician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with vehicle electrical systems.
- A methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
Experience with motorhomes or caravans would be an advantage but is not essential, as training can be provided.

The Role
As a Motorhome Valeter / Detailer, you’ll play a vital role in preparing our motorhomes for handover, ensuring every vehicle is presented in immaculate condition.
From deep cleaning interiors to polishing exterior finishes, your attention to detail will help create the perfect first impression for our customers. You’ll also assist with vehicle movements between our two sites and occasional customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare motorhomes to showroom and handover standard.
- Thoroughly clean and detail both the interior and exterior of motorhomes.
- Wash, polish and protect exterior paintwork.
- Vacuum, shampoo and clean carpets, upholstery and living areas.
- Clean kitchens, washrooms and all habitation areas to the highest standard.
- Inspect vehicles for cosmetic defects or issues prior to customer collection.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe valeting area.
- Deliver motorhomes to customers and transport vehicles between our two sites when required.
- Ensure every vehicle leaves the Service Centre looking its absolute best.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous valeting or vehicle detailing experience (preferred).
- A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good time management and organisational skills.

As a Motorhome Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop in first-class condition. Working alongside our experienced team, you’ll carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and accessory installations while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Whether you’re preparing a brand-new motorhome for its first owner or carrying out servicing and repairs on a customer’s vehicle, your attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing and routine maintenance on motorhomes.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and habitation faults.
- Install accessories including awnings, solar panels, reversing cameras, satellite systems and customer upgrades.
- Carry out gas, water and electrical system checks.
- Complete warranty repairs and aftersales work efficiently.
- Maintain accurate job records and workshop documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to manufacturer and company standards.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and professional at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Motorhome, Caravan, Automotive or Commercial Vehicle Technician (preferred).
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
